Tipsy Pigeon

Tipsy Pigeon

2A Bouverie Road West, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 2RX ☎️ 01303 252 153

Still owned by Paul Hagger and Penny Hagger but now rebranded. While still known as Paul's it scored a 3 on food.gov.uk FSA ratings, better luck this time. Is it Cheriton Place, or really the very beginning of Bouverie Road West?

I been here! See more in my gigography.

Previously known as Paul's Restaurant.

"a restaurant near Folkestone has had to close part of its car park because of the caterpillars"

Says here in the Mirror, but what restaurant? I was thinking, the only restaurant I know in Folkestone that's high falutin' enough to have its own car park is Paul's isn't it? But this does say near Folkestone, not in Folkestone... so where then, anyone know? I expect it was in the local paper...

What's that, you'd like to buy an ad on my site?

I'm not connected with Paul's restaurant in any way, just provide listings on this site. What is The Wine Track then, are you doing a special event at Paul's?

Paul's

We have both eaten here several times before... We both enjoyed our first course ( duck terrine etc and mussels and prawns + parmesan twist etc), However, the main courses were both disappointing... The vegetables were virtuallty raw (especially the beans and carrots) and also overcooked and greasy (the roast/sauteed potatoes). The waitress noticed my expression of disgust and immediately offered some more vegetables as replacement. Full marks as these were delivered in barely a minute.

Paul's

When I mentioned, a few reviews back, that Folkestone was fast becoming a culinary wasteland I had, of course, forgotten about Paul's. This memory lapse was in part caused by a horrible meal we had there previously. But, that was 5 years ago and its time to forgive and forget (note to Timothy's Wine Bar - this does not apply to you). My brother was over from Miami with his wife and we wanted somewhere suitable to do the big family thing on a Sat night.
