All sounds a little bit expensive to me, I guess I'm just out of touch with what it costs to go to a gig these days, but I would expect to only pay a fiver tops for acts I'd not heard of. Maybe you're cooler than me though and are well up on your your [3 Daft Monkeys Cornish folk rock](/wiki/#3/daft/monkeys/cornish/folk/rock) and so on. I hope this is a success, and this becomes part of the [Barfly](/wiki/#barfly) / [Wedgewood Rooms](/wiki/#wedgewood/rooms) / [Joiners](/wiki/#joiners) type circuit, they were all great local venues for me at the time, where you'd see up and coming and just about established bands at pocket money prices. Ee, and you could leave your back door open! What a moaning git. [Dead Kids](/wiki/#dead/kids) night sounds like a highlight to me, I might see you there. Or am I confusing them with [Black Kids](/wiki/#black/kids)? This is my website The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of excitement when we first came to Folkestone in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while before that so I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get now. The site was updated more frequently with a calendar of events and voting for favourite venues and things, and I hear it was a useful reference for those who were thinking of moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just to Hythe) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as The town is becoming the exciting place we always thought it was just about to. My name is not Gerald by the way, this comes from a fake paper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald.
