Just been to our first Literary Festival event of this year, Susie Dent, very good though there were a few technical issues. If you're going to David Starkey say, and think you might want to get a book signed by him, why not order it from Amazon and take it along? A massive 50% saving if you do! A little credit crunch tip for you, thank me when you see me...
This is my website The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of enthusiasm when I first came here in approximately '04. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while before that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get nowadays. The site was a lot more dynamic with a calendar of events and voting for favourite places and stuff, and I know it was a useful resource for those who were thinking of moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only to Hythe) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we always thought it was just about to. I am not Gerald BTW, this comes from a pretend newspaper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do get in touch if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
