Has there been a fire? And did Gate 28 reopen? We were not in that part of town all weekend.

Here is video of a fire in Escondido:

That's Escondido, California though, not our favourite local restaurant. Yes, still my favourite, went to Sandbanks this weekend but I'd definitely still choose Escondido, even if just for the better vege choice.

Here is Fire in Cairo:

A very young looking Robert Smith, in Boston in 1980.

This is part of my website The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of excitement when I first moved here in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a few years previous to that so I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get now. This site was updated more frequently with a calendar of events and voting for favourite places and stuff, and I know it was a handy reference for others who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as Folkestone itself is now becoming the exciting place we always thought it was just about to. My name is not Gerald BTW, the name comes from the name of a fake newspaper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are GRATE aren't they? Do get in touch if you have anything to contribute, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
