London band, Dead Kids, are led by charismatic front-man Mike Title and play a violently intense style of keyboard-driven new wave/post-punk. Supported by Koko von Napoo and Young Liars resident DJs.
On Tontine Street, can't miss it! Looks like a gert big cheese grater.
This is part of my website The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of excitement when we first moved here in approximately '04. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those DFLs you get nowadays. The site was updated more frequently with a calendar of events and voting for favourite places and things, and I hear it was a handy resource for those who were thinking of moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was about to become. My name is not Gerald by the way, the name comes from the name of a pretend newspaper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do get in touch if you have something to contribute, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
