Not sure he had done much stand-up before this gig.
Seems strange now but we heard he was doing this gig somehow and got tickets for it no problem. I remember talking about it online, probably on popbitch a few days later and someone saying "it's no big deal, they're still advertising it". Was definitely a big deal to us at the time. So pretty much Ricky Gervais first gig I would say...

I attended this one, more from this year in my gigography for 2003. Part of a list of all the gigs I went to from 1987 to '19. It's an obvious step from my Best Gigs Ever blog post. Yeah I know it's very nerdy, let's let that go though, I'm enjoying remembering these stuff.
