Assume it's the same Eins Zwei DIY show that we saw in Edinburgh but VERY GOOD, recommended!
Tom Williams and the Boat are performing, I heard this from Jon Holmes out of off of BBC 6Music. He will be there, introducing. He used to work at the venue apparently.
Just heard these on 6Music, ace, playing the opening night of the new Marlowe Theatre music venue
I saw The Ramones in 1980 at the Canterbury Odeon. A brilliant gig. I left covered in gob and my ears were ringing for 4 days. I seem to remember that the front row seats also left with us. I still have one of Dee Dee Ramone's guitar plectrums. Take it Dee Dee! 1,2,3,4!
The Marlowe Theatre brings you a spectacular version of Peter Pan for Christmas 2009 in the magical venue it deserves, a state-of-the-art, big top theatre, situated in the heart of the city at Kingsmead Coach Park, Canterbury. More dates to come
I saw Ozzy Osbourne in 1980 at Canterbury Odeon - now the Marlowe.Had the privilege of being right at front and having Ozzy sweat on me whilst shaking his head about. Some of us went into the County hotel afterwards and all 4 of the band were in the bar and got all autographs. Lee kerslake and Bob Daisley took the time to talk to us which was great as we were a bunch of sweaty 16 year olds who I guess they could have done without tracking them down to their hotel. Great memory!
I didn't know which venue the Odeon was. One of those nights you'll never forget? You forgot the date! Have you seen the photos that were taken that night? They're linked to from this site somewhere, some ace live shots...
Was pencilled for Canterbury Uni but moved to canterbury odeon | the Odeon... Support from Joy Division, HOLY FUCKING SHIT, what a lineup!
A guide to eating and drinking in Folkestone, Sandgate, Hythe, and the surrounding area... Do you remember when this was the top ranking result for Folkestone Restaurants? All independent, unfortunately unpaid, never spiteful...
