Know little about this venue yet, Cream played there though.
I been here! See more in my gigography.
Was where Pipers is now.
I saw Cream in 1967 and they did play at Tofts ive got ticket #4030 it wasnt in tontine st!
What's this all about then? [flickr]http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3345/3575576042_35fd19fe5d.jpg[/flickr] Thanks to Simon Brint for this ticket scan... People say it wasn't Tofts, it was Mick's Flamenco Club (more recently Pipers), so did Toft's move more than once? Or did Tofts move the gig? Or did they promote the gig at another club? Anyone got details?
Cream never played Tofts they indeed played Micks Flamenco club situated in Tontine Street. The place is now a club called Pipers and is still trading as such today.
Yea I cant forget When the Pretty Things were there I nearly lost my girlfriend to Phil May the singer??
Yea, must have been the Flaminco then, it was half way down Tontine st, It had a little Bar in it aswell, thanks Sal. Les.
The club that was upstairs in Tontine Street, could either have been the Flamenco which was half way down the street or The Sundowners which was right at the end of Tontine Street on Dover Road
I saw the Cream round about that time in a small club upstairs down Tontine street? Did Tofts move at any time cos I saw the Pretty Things there as well (also about that time?) Les.

A guide to eating and drinking in Folkestone, Sandgate, Hythe, and the surrounding area... Do you remember when this was the top ranking result for Folkestone Restaurants? All independent, unfortunately unpaid, never spiteful...
