About to be demolished, probably is by the time you read this!
I been here! See more in my gigography.
Known in it's time as Parisienne, Grizzly Den, Bonkers, Onyx, and Indigo among others. It was used as the setting of the bus station in the TV drama The Tunnel for some reason.
The nightclub on the seafront was known as the Pavilion at some point, it's quite likely to have been that.
Just looking for mentions of Marine Pavilion in my archives, now I see it is about to be demolished. That's the Parisienne / Grizzly Den / Bonkers nightclub of course, more recently known as Onyx (though not by anyone that I've ever spoken to).
Happy memories (that I can just about remember)!
Looking for stuff about a Marillion gig I went to in the Eighties and found it here. Thanks. The pavillion was a separate venue, it was down on the front near to the rotunda. I think it was La Parisienne when it re-opened.
I was the bass player in 'Mutilate' - that was our biggest gig - I'm sure we must have been absolute shite. ;)
Razzle of Hanoi Rocks previous punk band. Plus Sedated, Mutilate and Conditional Discharge.
