Not that I've spoken to anyone or anything, but I see these gigs coming through on the listings: Thu 5th Oct 2006 Heroes Fri 6th The Sharpee's (should that apostrophe really be there..?) Sat 7th Clacket Lane TBC Fri 13th Turmoil Sat 14th Mary's Dog (that one's right)
Had a look through the door today, as I thought it might be open this weekend. The place is still all upside down, but looks on schedule. It's not changed drastically inside, just looks new and clean, some of the old decor is intact.
Connected with The Frenchman in some way? [reply]Leave a message[/reply]... If you'd like to vote on which of those gigs is likelly to be the best, please go to the full Folkestone listings...
This is my site The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of excitement when I first moved here in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a few years previous to that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get now. The site was a lot more dynamic with a gig calendar and voting for favourite places and things, and I know it was a useful resource for those who were thinking of moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was just about to. I am not Gerald by the way, the name comes from a pretend newspaper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do get in touch if you have something to contribute, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
