Paddy McGuinness star of Max and Paddy's Road To Nowhere and Phoenix Nights brings his show to the Leas Cliff Hall on Monday September 25th. This is apparently your last chance to catch Paddy live on his first solo tour before the DVD is released and he hang up the mic for a wee while... Last chance / first tour / last tour / eh? It's got to be worth a look, though bear in mind it's a 16s and over show, sound like there might be a bit of blue for the dads! Also, I know what you're going to ask, and yes Peter Kay has spontaneously joined him on stage before. This was probably up North though, can't see him trecking all the way down to the coast.
This is my site The Folkestone Gerald that I built in a fury of enthusiasm when we first moved here in approximately '04. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while before that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get nowadays. The site was a lot more dynamic with a calendar of events and voting for favourite venues and things, and I hear it was a useful reference for others who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just to Hythe) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we always thought it was just about to. I am not Gerald by the way, this comes from a pretend newspaper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do contact me if you have something to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
