I was wondering whether you could publicise the following event that I am holding. I am creating a CD in order to raise money for CR-UK and have enlisted the help of a band called NIGHTSHIFT I am holding a launch night for the CD on 8th July 2005 in Whitstable|Whitstable, Kent. For more details you can visit youaretheone.org.uk or see the attached poster. All of the monies raised will go directly to CR-UK a charity i feel strongly about as i lost my father to the disease. Tickets are priced at 7 and include a copy of the CD. A charity Auction will also be held on the night.

This is part of my site The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of enthusiasm when I first came to Folkestone sometime in '04. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get now. The site was a lot more dynamic with a calendar of events and voting for best venues and things, and I know it was a handy resource for those who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was about to become. My name is not Gerald BTW, this comes from the name of a fake newspaper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald.
