Not heard the term vanpacking before but I have now. This is what we see in Seabrook and Sandgate. It's not quite the gold coast but it's great for the people in vans who can park up for free right on the coast, wake up with a lovely sea view but without the mortgage. I love to see it, each time I walk past one I wonder, could we ever do something like that? It's not a problem, but I guess it might be if there were hundreds all fighting for the limited facilities.
I bet THE MAN clamps down on this if they build all those new houses along Princes Parade.
This is my site The FG that I built in a fury of excitement when I first came here in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a few years previous to that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get now. The site was updated more frequently with a gig calendar and voting for best venues and things, and I know it was a handy reference for others who were moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as Folkestone itself is becoming the exciting place we knew it was just about to. I am not Gerald BTW, this comes from a fake newspaper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do contact me if you have something to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
