I've updated the site with FSA ratings, covering not just hygiene but also "confidence in management" and "structure", still not quite sure what they all mean but I'm buying right into it... Check out any venue link on the site and where possibly I'm showing the ratings. I'm really pleased that ratings.food.gov.uk has such an easy to use API, I wonder if there's more I can do with this. Got a hackathon coming up at work, hmm...
Some venues are going to like this - say Chambers - are going to like this. Others less so...
This is part of my website The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of excitement when I first came to Folkestone sometime in '04. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get now. The site used to be updated more frequently with a gig calendar and voting for favourite venues and things, and I know it was a handy resource for others who were moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is becoming the exciting place we knew it was just about to. My name is not Gerald BTW, this comes from the name of a fake paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do contact me if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
