Never mind your creative quarter and your ASDA and all that, look whose front door was open today! This is evidence of the regeneration of Folkestone.
I don't remember seeing it in the masterplan, but I think that's all out the window now. So who is working on []]The Elizabethan, and what are they doing? Flats? Offices? Or an actual new place to go in [Folkestone?

I say "legendary" Folkestone venue, maybe it's just me who is obsessed with it. I have lived here for about six years and never seen it open, what a treat to have a peek inside.
I did not dare actually go in, but if you ever did (this person did does that still look about the same? Reminds me of a Beefeater or something.
I'm off to Legends of Folkestone with this one.
This is my site The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of excitement when I first moved here sometime in 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get nowadays. The site was a lot more dynamic with a calendar of events and voting for favourite places and things, and I know it was a useful reference for others who were thinking of moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only to Hythe) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is becoming the exciting place we knew it was just about to. I am not Gerald BTW, this comes from a pretend paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do contact me if you have anything to contribute, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on the twitter.
