Anchor Baby Recordings is a professional digital recording service, based in a beautiful studio, set in its own peaceful garden in Monks Horton, just outside of Folkestone in Kent. The studio was lovingly purpose-built in 1989 and has seen bands such as AC/DC and Wishbone Ash walk through its doors over the years.
I have been recording for 8 or 9 years, working with various setups and in various studios and have perfected the art of capturing raw energy and moments that tend to get lost on a lot of modern records. I'm a touring musician myself, so can relate to bands on both sides of the glass.
Please visit www.myspace.com/anchorbabyrecordings for pictures, information on the studio and my musical background, MP3s and more.
This is part of my site The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of excitement when I first came here sometime in 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while before that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get nowadays. This site was updated more frequently with a gig calendar and voting for favourite venues and stuff, and I know it was a handy resource for others who were thinking of moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we always thought it was just about to. I am not Gerald BTW, the name comes from the name of a pretend paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are GRATE aren't they? Do get in touch if you have something to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on the twitter.
