Here is the current top ten , with their number of followers and number they are following.
See the full list on twitterholic.com, it's mostly political round here. I don't mean "I'm not following them because they're not following so and so", I mean it really is mostly political, it's all the lib dems taking up most of the slots. Not that there is a lot of heavy usage in this area.
Just posting this really to mark how things looked on this day, I will be back in a month's time see how it's changed... I'm not doing anything to try and build up my personal account but we might see twitter.com/folkestone doing a bit better I think.
[twitter ratio](http://twitterholic.com/top100/followers/bylocation/Kent%2C+UK/ Here's the lsit for all of Kent]], it's mostly people who are following more people than are following them. Perhaps we should be ranking these people by their [a needy self promoter, so putting my personal account up to number one in the ratio chart. Number 1 spot here [http://www.folkestonegerald.com we instead, see how things look then? No need to point out who storms ahead with a score of 52 while the current leader is not even in whole numbers :-) It shows the superstars from the needy self promoters anyway... Yes, I do plan on making The 'Gerald" title="Folkestone Gerald") come (fingers crossed).
This is part of my site The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of excitement when I first came here in approximately '04. I'd been a regular visitor for a few years before that so I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get now. The site was updated more frequently with a gig calendar and voting for best venues and things, and I know it was a handy reference for those who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is becoming the exciting place we knew it was about to become. My name is not Gerald BTW, this comes from the name of a fake newspaper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do contact me if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on the twitter.
