According to this story from Fareham, does it apply across the whole Wetherspoons chain?
Community pubs say there is no way they can match Wetherspoon's, which has slashed the prices of drinks at its pubs.
The pub is selling pints of Greene King IPA ale and bottles of San Miguel lager for under a pound and says the price drop is 'indefinite'.
No mention of it on jdwetherspoon.co.uk yet.
This is my website The Folkestone Gerald that I built in a fever of enthusiasm when we first came to Folkestone sometime in '04. I'd been a frequent visitor for a few years before that so I am technically one of those DFLs you get now. The site used to be a lot more dynamic with a gig calendar and voting for best venues and things, and I hear it was a handy reference for others who were moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just to Hythe) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as Folkestone itself is becoming the exciting place we always thought it was about to become. My name is not Gerald by the way, this comes from the name of a pretend paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are GRATE aren't they? Do get in touch if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
