He'd like to hear from more old Westbrookians they have a facebook page so contact him there, please.
I first went there when I was at college (Ashford). There was an excellent website for the Frenchman, whatever happened to that? I'm not local anymore but still have contacts in the area and of course am writing a history of Westbrook House School and referencing Athelstan and Feltonfleet schools as they were virtually in a line along Shorncliffe Road.
I've lost touch with my contemporaries Peter Gilbert, Christine Brazier etc. And I'm interested in tracking down old teachers and pupils of Westbrook. Did you know that Michael Bentine attended Feltonfleet?
Paul Seward is the contact for the Radnor Club but I'm finding him difficult to contact. It also turns out that the Masons were active in the Radnor Club and I've tried contacting them about a couple of masters.
This is my site The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of enthusiasm when I first came here in approximately '04. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while before that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get nowadays. The site was a lot more dynamic with a calendar of events and voting for favourite places and stuff, and I know it was a useful resource for those who were moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we always thought it was just about to. My name is not Gerald by the way, the name comes from a fake paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are GRATE aren't they? Do get in touch if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
